About Garden Writer Steven Biggs
WHO AS A LIFE-LONG GARDENER, I’ve managed to garden wherever I’ve lived—creating allotment gardens, container gardens, indoor gardens, and gardens in the overgrown backyards of rented houses.
Along with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture (horticultural science major), my work experience spans plant propagation, greenhouses, biological controls, nursery and conservatory plants, and horticultural supplies.
WHY Growing vegetables shouldn’t seem exotic. It’s straightforward stuff.
As a horticulturist and life-long gardener, I built this website to share practical gardening experience. As a writer and journalist, I use it to give frank opinions about what you need...and what you don’t.
My goal is to serve up gardening advice in a simple, no-nonsense way.
