Quinn Meets Rototiller
Quinn loves tractors. He loves any loud, moving machinery. So when I told him that I was getting our tractor out of the shed, I had his undivided attention. That’s rare for a two year old.

Quinn with parsnip before the garden is rototilled.Over to the shed we trudged, Quinn bringing his shovel so he could help. When I pulled out the old Eaton-brand rototiller, I suspect it wasn’t quite as big as he had hoped, but what it lacked in size, it made up for in noise.

We quickly scanned the garden to find any root veggies we missed while harvesting, then I pulled the starter cord. Then I pulled it again, and again, and again…because it’s an ornery old piece of equipment. But when I finally got it going, he stood there with mouth agape, watching the tines spin round while I took the “tractor” for a run around the garden.
